A milestone anniversary, David Sloan & a trivia do-over 🌴💛

Hey Reader,

Wow… what a week.

Before we jump into Key West stories, I have to give a little shoutout to my wonderful husband 💛

He and I celebrated a milestone anniversary this month, and honestly… I have no idea where the time went.

How does that happen?

One minute you’re starting out on the adventure… and the next thing you know you’re looking back at years of memories, trips, laughs, ordinary days that became special, and wondering how it all moved so fast.

Time really does fly when you’re having fun.

Here’s to many, many more adventures together… and hopefully plenty more sunsets and island escapes too. 🌴🥂

And if you are celebrating something amazing this month… a birthday, anniversary, graduation, retirement… anything fun at all…

👉 Hit reply and let me know.

I’d love to celebrate right along with you.

Now… onto the fun stuff.

📚 David Sloan Joined Me Live

Yep… that David Sloan.

And let me tell you… this was such a fun conversation.

We chatted all about his new book “How Key West Killed JFK” — plus how he first got to Key West, Robert the Doll, island history, and a whole lot more.

🌴 Summer Plans? Let’s Talk the Florida Keys

I’ve had so many people asking about summer travel… especially families heading down to the Keys.

So this week I chatted all about things to do in the Florida Keys with families.

Yep… family-friendly adventures do exist alongside the frozen drinks and sunsets 😄

🧠 Trivia Time… and a Quick Apology

Okay… confession time 😄

Last week I was trying to automate a few things and… let’s just say… lesson learned.

A few of you got a “yay, you got it!” email back (which was correct)… but the actual answer in the reply?

Totally wrong.

That one’s on me.

Thanks for being patient while I tested things… and going forward it’ll be all me again.

So let’s officially clear it up:

Last week's question: “What item was stolen from Key West after Hurricane Irma and later recovered in Tampa?”

The answer was the Welcome to Key West sign 🌴

And I also need to clear up one little detail from my original answer…

I first said it was recovered in Tampa… but after a little more digging, that wasn’t quite right.

It was actually placed on the ferry in Fort Myers and eventually made its way back home to Key West.

Island mystery officially solved 😄

❓ This Week’s Trivia Question

Ready for a new one?

What local tree is nicknamed the “tourist tree” because its trunk is red and peeling?

(Hint: if you’ve walked around Key West, you’ve definitely seen it.)

Hit reply with your answer to get entered into this month’s Fun in Key West drawing 🎁

Thanks for hanging out with me this week.

More fun ahead… and as always, I’m glad you’re here.

Talk soon,

☀️🐓
