👕 Flip-Flops, Sunshine, and Zero Dress Codes – What to Wear in Key West

Hey Reader,

It’s Throwback Tuesday, and today we’re tackling an age-old question: What the heck do you wear in Key West?

Now, I know what you’re thinking—“It’s not rocket science, right? Flip-flops and sunshine, done.” And you’re not wrong! But believe it or not, a LOT of you found this guide super helpful last year, so we’re bringing it back for another round.

👉 Check out the full post here and make sure you’re Key West-ready.

The Key West Dress Code:

🩴 Flip-Flops are life. Wear them everywhere. Even to “fancy” restaurants. No one cares.
🌞 Sunscreen counts as an accessory. And if you forget it, well…you’ll learn real quick.
👒 Hats = your new best friend. Because the sun here isn’t messing around.
👕 Casual is key. If your outfit looks like you might be heading to a meeting…change immediately.

What You Don’t Need:

🚫 Heels. Unless you enjoy getting stuck in cobblestones or wobbling down Duval Street after a mojito.
🚫 Heavy clothes. It’s never cold. And if it is, a light hoodie will do just fine.
🚫 A suit. (Unless you’re getting married, and even then… consider linen.)

Basically, Key West is all about the island vibe—relaxed, easy, and breezy. So if you’re stressing about what to pack, don’t. Just bring the essentials, grab a cocktail, and blend right in.

What’s your go-to Key West outfit? Are you a “barefoot and sunburned” kind of traveler, or do you have a go-to tropical wardrobe? Hit reply and let me know—I love hearing your travel style secrets!

Until next Tuesday, stay cool, stay comfy, and always keep it Key West-y. 🌴😎

Cheers to the flip-flop life,

P.S. If you pack nothing but swimsuits and cover-ups, you’re still overdressed by Key West standards. 😉
