Hey Reader, What a fun week! We had a pretty big first at our house... our youngest grandson stayed overnight with us for the first time! β€οΈ There were snacks. There were playgrounds. There was lots of activity. And then there was Mr. Coffee. ππΎ He is SUPER protective of the little guy, so apparently he decided it was his personal responsibility to keep watch over everything happening all weekend. Let's just say Mr. Coffee is now sleeping off all the excitement. He may sleep for a few days. π΄ But before my days were completely taken over by snacks, playgrounds, and grandbaby fun, I did manage to squeeze in a little Key West storytelling! π Wait... There Used to Be a HOUSE There?!Here's one for you... Did you know there used to be a beautiful house sitting on Duval Street where the CVS is today? Yep! It's the Sawyer-Navarro House, and the house still exists. They MOVED it. π³π And we're not talking about moving it a few feet. There's a fascinating story involving the Great Fire of 1886, one of Key West's prominent builders, a five-and-dime store, and an entire house making its way off Duval Street.
