Nursemaid duties, rocket launches & pirate trivia 🏴‍☠️🚀🌴

Hey Reader,

So… how fun is it to play nursemaid? 😅
Let me tell you — I was so grateful to be here for the kid during recovery, but wow… I had completely forgotten how much work it is to take care of someone full-time. Ice packs, meds, snacks, repeat. It was absolutely a labor of love 💛 — and I’m happy to say he’s getting more mobile every day.

That means we’re packing things up and heading back north to get some work done… but not before witnessing something pretty incredible.

While we were wandering around Star Wars land, we looked up and watched a satellite launch streak across the sky. Totally unexpected. Totally magical. (I’ll drop a pic in here because it was one of those “wait… did that really just happen?” moments.)

🎥 Two Lives, Two Great Conversations

Even with nursemaid duty in full effect, I still managed to squeeze in not one, but TWO live chats this week!

First up:
I chatted with Eric Goldreyer, founder of Savvy, and it was such a great conversation about travel, lodging, and how the way we book stays is changing.

Then:
I sat down with Marc Renson, author of How Will I Know — and wow, does this man have a story. The conversation was thoughtful, surprising, and full of moments that make you stop and think.

🌙 Late Nights in Key West…

I also updated a super popular post this week — when bars close in Key West. Because let’s be honest… that’s information people really want to know before heading out for the night. 😄

Now I want to hear from you
What’s your go-to late-night spot in Key West?
Is it a last-call drink, live music, people-watching, or somewhere you swear has the best vibes after midnight?

Hit reply and tell me — I’m always adding places to my “next trip” list.

🧠 Trivia Time!

Last week’s trivia question was a crowd favorite — and once again… not a single wrong answer. 👏👏👏
Yep — Key West’s population in 1830 was 517. Can you even imagine what island life looked like back then? No crowds, no cruise ships… just a tiny community surrounded by water and possibility.

So let’s keep the streak going…

❓ This Week’s Trivia Question:

On what street in Key West is the Pirate’s Well located? 🏴‍☠️

Hit reply with your answer to get entered into this month’s Fun in Key West drawing — and as always, I love seeing your guesses roll in.

📚 One More Fun Thing…

Oh! Before I forget — the March Book Club pick has officially been announced 🎉
And let me just say… this one is already sparking good conversations.

If you’ve ever thought, “Maybe I should check out that book club thing…” — this is your sign. 😉
It’s relaxed, fun, zero-pressure, and full of people who love Key West, great stories, cocktails, and conversations that feel like happy hour with friends.
