πΎ Should the Dog Come to the Keys Too?

Hey Reader, It's Throwback Tuesday, and today's question is for all my fellow dog people... When you head to the Florida Keys, does the dog come too? πΆπ΄ This whole post actually started because I was dog-sitting Mr. Coffee and started wondering... If we packed him into the car and headed down the Keys, where could we actually take him? Naturally, that sent me down a rabbit hole. Or maybe a dog hole? π π Check out my guide to dog-friendly beaches and activities in the Florida Keys here:β Turns Out... Your Dog Can Have a Pretty Great Keys VacationThere are places throughout the Keys where your four-legged travel buddy can stretch those legs, hit the beach, explore a trail or just hang out with you. And once you get to Key West? There's even a Dog Beach where your pup can splash around in the water. I'm pretty sure Mr. Coffee would consider that a five-star resort. πΎ But Here's the Part You Need to KnowNot every beach in the Keys allows dogs. In particular, Florida State Parks have restrictions on where pets can go, including beach and swimming areas. So this is one of those things that's worth figuring out before you arrive with an excited dog staring out the car window. That's exactly why I put the guide together. And It Doesn't Have to Be All About the BeachThat's what surprised me when I started looking into this. There are parks, trails, outdoor restaurants and even activities where your dog can come along. Which means you don't necessarily have to choose between... π΄ Keys vacation or πΆ Vacation with your dog. You might be able to have both. Although I should probably point out that Mr. Coffee's preferred vacation itinerary would be approximately 90% snacks, 5% exploring and 5% naps. Actually... That sounds like a pretty good Keys vacation to me. π Quick QuestionWhen you go on vacation, what happens with your furry family members? πΎ They come with us! π They stay home with a sitter or family. π¨ They get their own little vacation at boarding/daycare. π My pet would NEVER forgive me if I packed a suitcase without them.
