Hey Reader, It's Throwback Tuesday, and today we're talking about one of my favorite sounds in Key West... Live music drifting out of an open bar. πΆπ΄ You know the moment. You're walking down the street. You have somewhere you're supposed to be. And then you hear a band playing and somebody says... βWait. Let's go in here.β And just like that, the plans change. π π Check out my guide to the Best Live Music in Key West here:β Key West Is Made for Live MusicOne of the things I love about Key West is that you don't necessarily have to plan your entire night around seeing live music. Sometimes the music finds YOU. You can hear everything from Trop Rock and country to rock, blues, soul and funk, depending on where you land. And some of my favorite Key West memories have come from simply hearing something good and deciding to stay for another song. I'm a Big Fan of the Green ParrotIf you've followed me for a while, this probably isn't a surprise. π I love the Green Parrot. It's casual. It's funky. And when there's a great soul or funk band playing, I am very happy to hang out for a while. But that's also the fun of Key West. There isn't ONE place you have to go for live music. Different bars have completely different personalities, and the music can change the whole feel of your night. Here's My Key West Music Rule...If you hear something you like, stop. Even if it's not on your itinerary. Even if you've never heard of the band. Even if you were supposedly on your way somewhere else. Some of the best Key West moments happen when the original plan gets tossed aside. Stay for a song. Maybe stay for three.
