🌴 Want to Experience Key West Like a Local? Here's the Secret...

Hey Reader,

It's Throwback Tuesday, and today we're tackling another question I hear all the time...

"Where do the locals go in Key West?"

The funny thing is...

The answer might surprise you. 😄

Here's What I've Learned...

I think a lot of us imagine that locals have a secret island hidden somewhere.

A secret beach.

A secret restaurant.

A secret bar that tourists never find.

And while there are definitely a few hidden gems...

The truth is, locals enjoy a lot of the same places we do. They still watch sunsets. They still grab Cuban coffee. They still listen to live music and spend time on the water.

The difference isn't always where they go...

It's how they experience it.

Slow Down

One of my favorite things about Key West is that nobody seems to be in a hurry.

They linger over lunch.

They stop and listen to the street musicians.

They strike up conversations with complete strangers.

They sit on a dock just because it's a beautiful afternoon.

That's the part of Key West I try to bring home with me every time I visit.

My Challenge for Your Next Trip

Instead of trying to check ten things off your list...

Try doing one thing a little longer.

Stay for another song.

Order another Cuban coffee.

Watch one more sunset.

Those are usually the moments you remember the most.

Quick Question

What's your favorite way to slow down in Key West?

🌅 Watching the sunset

☕ Sitting with a Cuban coffee

🍹 Happy hour with friends

🚲 Exploring the island on a bike

😄 Or something completely different?

Hit reply and let me know. I love hearing how everyone finds their own version of island time.

Until next Tuesday, slow down, soak it all in, and always keep it Key West-y. 🌴

Cheers,

Michele
